Punch Needle is the art of punching hundreds of tiny loops through fabric to create a design. Needle punch is worked in reverse, meaning that as you punch the design you will see straight running stitches; however, when you flip the design over you see hundreds of tiny loops resembling a hooked rug.

The craft of Punch Needle is relatively easy to master and budget friendly. All you need is an embroidery hoop, a punch needle, weavers cloth, floss, scissors and a pattern.

Star Rug Company Needle Punch Patterns come with a pattern on weaver's cloth, a colored picture of the pattern, and a floss chart. All patterns come with a minimum of 3 inches added to design. Punch Needle Kits are also available upon request.
